Luanda, ANGOLA, April 17 - The Politburo of the ruling MPLA party analysed Tuesday a memorandum on the election of new secretaries of the provincial committees of the ruling party's youth wing. ,

 

The three secretaries are holding positions Iin the provinces of Cuanza Norte, Huambo and Lunda Sul.

 

The meeting also examined the proposal to fill vacancies of the second provincial secretary of the party in Cuando Cubango.

 

At the level of JMPLA, the ruling party elected Sisto Paulo Bunga secretary for Administration and Finance Department of Provincial Committee of MPLA in Cuanza Norte, Ofelia Xili deputy governor for the Economic, Political and Social Area of Lunda Sul province, and Julio Paulo Cabral the end of mandates in Huambo province.

 

Cuando Cubango has as second provincial secretary of MPLA, João António Lineya.

 

During the session chaired by deputy president of MPLA, João Lourenço, the Secretariat of the Political Bureau reviewed in first reading a preliminary draft Code of Party Ethics and a draft Directive on the participation of party action committees, the group of JMPLA and sections of OMA in the organisation of militants, sympathizers and friends of the party for the process of implementation of municipalities.

 

 

The seventh ordinary meeting of the secretariat, also examined various matters relating to the internal life of the party.

 

At its sixth meeting, held on 11 January, MPLA recommended to the Angolan Executive to make every effort to reach consensus on the issue of the teachers' nationwide strike held from 9 to 13 this month.

 

The body had been informed by the MPLA Parliamentary Group on the treatment given to the proposed Law on the Repatriation of Financial Resources held Abroad, forwarded to National Assembly.
