Head of State calls on young people to engage in country's reconstruction

Luanda, ANGOLA, April 14 - The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, on Saturday called on Angolan youths to get engaged in the tasks relating to the country?s economic, social and cultural development. ,

This comes on a message of the Head of State released in the ambit of the Angolan Youth Day being marked this Saturday (April 14).


On the message, João Lourenço reminds that the date was instituted in memory of all youths that sacrificed their lives for Angola to become an independent country.


“With the peace that was conquered in 2002, also thanks to the bravery of our youths, they are not required to make the extreme sacrifices made in the past”, wrote President João Lourenço.


He also that “today’s youths must have full conscience that the combats are not only fought in the battleground, but also in the domain of ideas and in academic, civic and moral training”.
