General Attorney's Office warns on failure to declare assets
Luanda, ANGOLA, March 27 - The General Attorney's Office (PGR) will hold in coming days accountable the public officials who fail to declare assets and incomes, warning that the days of impunity are coming to an end.

The information was disclosed on Monday, in Luanda, by the deputy Attorney General, Mota Liz, stressing that the Attorney’s Office will refine the mechanisms to make officials accountable for their income and assets declaration.
The magistrate, who was speaking to the press at the end a meeting with MPs’ specialized commission, stated that his institution is bolstering its technical and human capacity to verify case by case, who made the income statement and who did not.
The official said that the declaration of assets is a legal tool that ensures the probity and combat impunity.
The Law of Probity of 29 March is a diploma that reinforces the mechanism of combat against corruption so as to guarantee the prestige of the government’s institutions.
The law reflects the willingness of the Angolan State in raising awareness of public officials on the performance of their duties and combat corruption.
