Judiciary dignification depends on its bodies' independence
Luanda, ANGOLA, March 14 - The dignification of the judiciary goes necessarily through the realization of an independent, impartial, speedy and close justice system to the citizens, with a view to realizing the desire for justice and the full realization of the rule of law, said the Attorney General, Hélder Pitta Grós.,
The prosecutor made these considerations at the opening of the Judicial Year 2018, which runs under the motto "Dignification of the judiciary and for an independent justice system," a ceremony presided over by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
For Hélder Pitta Grós, this dignification presupposes the existence of courts with adequate conditions and assets, with impartial judges, serious and honest lawyers.
The official ensured that the justice sector's commitment to improving working conditions, including the implementation of new information and communication technologies, is a challenge to be consolidated in the 2018/2022 five-year period.
