Head of State leaves for Lunda Norte Province
Luanda, ANGOLA, March 14 - The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, left Wednesday morning for the north-eastern Lunda Norte Province, where he will make a two-day work visit. ,
At the Luanda airport, the Head of State was bid farewell by the Vice President of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa, the governor of Luanda, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, government officials and aides.
The Angolan President is to visit several social and productive undertakings, such as the medical diagnosis centre, the maternal-infantile hospital and the Luachimo hydroelectric dam.
President João Lourenço’s agenda also includes chairing a meeting of the Economic Commission of the Cabinet Council, which in his mandate is happening for the second time outside the capital, Luanda.
ANGOP has learnt that the president, in his capacity as head of the Executive, intends to make a global assessment of the present situation of the country’s eastern region.
Two weeks ago, the Head of State was in the eastern Lunda Sul Province where he officially opened the 2018 Higher Education Academic Year.
