Benguela, ANGOLA, March 13 - At least 120 tons of assorted products are expected to be harvested until July this year by the penitentiary services of the central Benguela province, aiming at securing the food diet of the inmates. ,

This was told to Angop on Monday by the head of the production sector of the referred prison, prisional intendent,Daniel Zau.

 

He added that as part of the agricultural production re-launching programme, the first cut of bananas in three hectares areas together with harvest of other vegetable are expected to take place in June 2018.

  

He also said the agricultural production has been secured by 71 inmates covering a 20 and 500 hectares respectively, which has already enabled the harvest of 22 tons of varied products from May 2017 up to January 2018.
