Angola: President congratulates Angolan women
Luanda, ANGOLA, March 2 - The head of State João Lourenço Friday congratulated all Angolan women on celebration of March 2, taken as the day of Angolan woman.

In the message, the President calls upon all women to turn the celebrations of March 2, into a day of deep reflection and aware of their needs, problems and aspirations.
The president stressed the fact that the female population in Angola outnumber men.
"Although the country has not yet reached the standards of the international organiations, on the integration of women in political and administrative as well entrepreneurial life, Angola is among the countries that most seek respect for gender representation at all governance level." reads the congratulation message.
In the message, the President also hopes that this day will contribute to the "effective emancipation" of Angolan women in order to ensure their active participation in political, economic, social and cultural life of the country.
"Women represent an added value due to their contribution to recovery of civic and moral values as well as combat social injustice and discrimination," the message stresses.
