Water council adopts draft regulation on water resource fund

Luanda, ANGOLA, February 27 - National Water Council Tuesday in Luanda approved the draft regulation of National Water Resources Fund, which provide for norms of its control and operation. ,

 

The information is contained in a final communique of the meeting chaired by Vice President of Republic, Bornito de Sousa.

 

With approval of the Plan, the protection and conservation of this liquid, associated with global climate change factors, has gained political, economic, social, environmental and geostrategic relevance.

 

He said that it is up to the States the challenges of infrastructural, institutional, training and research in the field of water and the development of hydraulic development projects, with a view to their proper exploitation and valorisation.

 

The Council also analysed, among other matters, the regulation of the Council of Water Catchment tasked with  ensuring coordination and articulation between the different public, private and community sectors in the planning, management and use of water resources.
