Angola and China business exceeds USD 23 billion

Luanda, ANGOLA, February 23 - Last year China-Angola turnover was above USD 23 billion, Chinese’s ambassador to Angola, Cui Aimin, told the press on Friday in Luanda.,

Speaking to the press, at the end of a meeting with the speaker of the National Assembly, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, the Asian nation diplomat stressed that the volume of investments between the two states, on a global scale, is over UDS 40 billion dollars.

But if it takes into account small units or business spheres, the ambassador said, this figure should exceed USD 60 billion, which means that more than 30 percent of China's funding for the African continent goes to Angola.

China is Angola's biggest export destination, with Angola being China's second largest export destination.

The Asian giant will continue to take advantage of the traditional advantages of cooperation with Angola, namely building infrastructures and expanding the partnership in the areas of agriculture, industry, human training and public health and, lastly, boosting exchanges between the two countries parliaments.
