Angola: Parliament speaker off to South Africa

Luanda, ANGOLA, February 16 - National Assembly Speaker Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos left Friday for South Africa to attend the local Parliament session, where the new President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to give his first state of the nation address Friday at 7:00pm ,

 

Ciryl Ramaphosa, who was the country’s Vice President and recently elected ruling ANC party's leader, took office on Thursday as head of State of the South Africa, taking over from Jacob Zuma.

 

Angola and South Africa maintain excellent cooperation relations at bilateral levels and the regional and international organisations of which they are members.

 

The parties signed recently an agreement on elimination of visas in ordinary passports of citizens in the two countries.
