MPLA and SWAPO strengthen cooperation

Luanda, ANGOLA, February 16 - The strengthening of bilateral cooperation topped the official conversations that started Friday, in Luanda, between the delegations of Angola?s ruling party (MPLA) and Namibia?s SWAPO.,

The SWAPO delegation, which is being led by the party’s general secretary, Sophia Shanígua, is in Angola for a three-day work visit.

At the end of a meeting with MPLA’s delegation headed by its general secretary, António Paulo Kassoma, the Namibian official said the visit is aimed at strengthening the existing relations between the two historical parties and peoples.

To Sophia Shanigua, the success achieved by MPLA satisfies SWAPO since they share a common history.

This the first time Sophia Shaningua makes a work visit to Angola, since she was appointed SWAPO’s general secretary in November 2017.
