Luanda, ANGOLA, February 16 - The secretary of State for Media, Celso Malavoloneke, urged on Thursday the ministerial departments to create efficient press offices to facilitate the work of the media outlets.,

The official believes that with an efficient press office management 90 percent of misinformation that come about could easily be clarified and sorted out.

 

Addressing the topic “Journalistic vision about the legislative power versus ethics and professional deontology”, at the second meeting of Media outlets, organised by the Angolan National Assembly (Parliament), the official underscored that when misinformation comes about, it means the  communication professional of the referred department has not done well his job as it is expected.

 

He also defended that the social media have created a devastating phenomenon for journalists, since they tend to turn the role of these professionals into an almost meaningless activity.
