WASHINGTON, DC, USA, February 2, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- As women across America rock red for National Red Dress Day, the “Women of Women Veterans ROCK!” are raising the stakes as they prepare to host 100 Military Women and JROTC Cadet Girls in Washington, DC for their annual Public Policy Day on Capitol Hill.

What better way to ensure that women gain a clear understanding of health policies and other regulatory mandates than to go straight to The Hill as Advocates for today’s Military Women and Military Families.

Women Veterans ROCK! is a Coalition of Women Veteran Organizations and Women Advocacy Organizations Supporting Women Veterans and Military Families. The non-partisan, nonprofit organization supports Military Women and Military Families in the areas of Housing; Employment; Education; Financial Stability; Health & Wellness.

Women Veterans ROCK! convenes The Women Veterans 2020 Delegation on Capitol Hill each year in March - during Women’s History Month. This year on March 15, 2018, The Delegation will highlight the growing and diverse spectrum of community-based Veteran Service Organizations providing important health-related supportive services to America’s Women Veterans and Military Families.

The Women Veterans 2020 Delegation is comprised of 100 of the region’s leading Military Women and Military Advocacy Organizations. The 2018 Women Veterans Public Policy Day On Capitol Hill provides Delegates with the opportunity to visit with Congressional Members, Senate Leaders, and Hill Staffers. Delegates learn about: Congress; the public policy-making process; and share their experiences, challenges, and victories with The Delegation and Legislative Leaders.

“The overall goal of The Women Veterans 2020 Delegation is Building Positive and Productive Partnerships with our new Partners on The Hill," says Deborah Harmon-Pugh, President of The Healthy Caregiver Community Foundation and National Campaign Chair of Women Veterans ROCK!
