Fight against bad practices demands greater State inspection dynamics

ANGOLA, January 15 - Luanda -The fight against bad practices by public office holders demands from the General Inspection of the State Administration (IGAE) greater dynamics in its work, said last Monday, in Luanda, the minister of State and head of the President's Civil Office, Frederico Cardoso. ,

Frederico Cardoso was speaking in representation of the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, at the opening of the commemoration programme of the 26th anniversary of the General Inspection of the State Administration (IGAE).

He went on to say that the country is experiencing a crucial moment in its history, in which the IGAE is demanded to improve its work of auditing, carrying out inquiries and inspection activities on organs and institutions of the state at all levels.

He defended that the IGAE must co-ordinate the internal control system of the Public Administration, thus contributing methodologically to the constant improvement of the organisation, performance and discipline of public services.

According to the presidential aide, this initiative is an opportune moment of exercise, since it calls on public office holders to adjust their acts and practices to the new circumstances, in which the country is striving to consolidate the pillars of democracy and rule of law.

The commemorative programme of the IGAE will last three days and includes the holding of a seminar on the audit and inspection activities, with a few other sub-topics.
