Former prime minister Marcolino Moco praises spirit of openness

Luanda, ANGOLA, January 12 - Angolan former Prime minister Marcolino Moco, who was sworn in Friday as non-executive manager of the State owned Oil company “Sonangol”, commended the country's new spirit of openness, especially in the press field.,

 

Marcolino Moco was speaking to journalists shortly after being sworn in by President João Lourenço.

 

During the ceremony the president also sworn in the new members of board of directors of Sonangol, Sovereign Fund of Angola and a Head of State's  consultant.

 

The politician, who was also former secretary general of the ruling MPLA party, supported President João Lourenço's view that his return and that of Lopo do Nascimento to the Executive posts will contribute to the country’s development.

 

He also believes that the results of the ongoing changes will yield good results in near future.

 

The former prime minister also pledged to keep pursuing his liberal profession, stressing that he is very interested in reflections, thinking of the country and African continent.
