Foreign Ministry performs staff registration

Luanda, ANGOLA, January 10 - The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MIREX) is registering its personnel as part of the Angola?s diplomatic missions and consular redimensioning that could lead the closure of some representation premises, according to information conveyed on Tuesday to the staff during a meeting of the government institution. ,

The meeting was presided over by the Foreign Affairs minister, Manuel Augusto, to clarify the staff’s 2017/2018 rotation plan for the fulfillment of vacancies in the diplomatic missions and consular posts.

Speaking to the press, MIREX general secretary, Agostinho Van-dúnem, explained that in the face of the current financial situation of the country, a rotation and redimension of staff has been adopted for the Angolan diplomatic and consular missions abroad. 

He also said the hiring of staff will be made through public tender so as to bring up justice and transparency to the hiring process and give opportunity to those with qualifications to join the sector.
