Under the chairmanship of Comrade JOSÉ EDUARDO DOS SANTOS, President of the MPLA, it was held today, 09 January 2018, the 15th Ordinary Meeting of the Politburo Secretariat, which analysed several issues relating to the country and the party’s internal life.

The Politburo Secretariat analysed the Draft Political Agenda of the party for the year 2018, in which it is highlighted, among other actions, the promotion of the legislation that will support the holding of local elections in Angola.

It was analysed the summary report and recommendations on the upgrading seminar for deputies (members of Parliament) on the Prevention of Crimes Committed by Public Office Holders, held last December (in Luanda), whose results suggest that the initiative has to be reproduced at provincial level, in face of the pertinent issues that were discussed.
