President João Lourenço speaks to journalists on Monday

This was announced last Thursday by the Angolan President’s secretary for institutional communication and press, Luís Fernando.
In this press conference, João Lourenço is expected to talk about his 100 days as President of the Republic, among other topics.
João Lourenço’s presidential term, which completes 100 days this Friday, has been marked by deep economic reforms, as well as the approval and implementation of a six-month Executive Interim Plan (from October 2017 to March 2018).
With such plan – made up of pertinent measures in the sectors of tax revenue, exchange rate and monetary policy – the Head of the Executive intends to achieve macroeconomic stability.
Last month, the Executive submitted to the National Assembly (Angolan Parliament) the 2018 Draft General Budget, which is yet to be fully analysed and approved by the MPs.
One of the priorities of the 2018 Draft General Budget is the creation of a diversified, competitive, inclusive and sustainable economy.
The objective is to expand human capital and create qualified and remunerated employment opportunities, ANGOP has learnt.
President João Lourenço has also pledged to improve the country’s business environment and eliminate or reduce market imperfections.
“We are here to give you notice that the President of the Republic has a great interest in having his public agenda get the best monitoring and attention from journalists”, Luís Fernando asserted.
