Mbanza Kongo, ANGOLA, January 1 - At least 235 citizens from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), who in the last seven days tried to illegally enter the national territory through the country’s northern border, in Zaire Province, were detained by the Angolan Border Police. ,

The Provincial Police Command in Zaire states on a communiqué, which reached ANGOP on Sunday, that the said illegal immigrants were intercepted in different points of the vast borderline.  

 

Still according to the document, during the same period the authorities recorded 55 border violations, representing five more in relation to the previous week.
