President sends message to Chadian, Gabonese counterparts

Luanda, ANGOLA, December 28 - The Head of State, João Lourenço, sent two messages to the heads of State of Chad and Gabon on Thursday to exchange relevant information related to the situation in the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).,

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto, travelled Thursday morning to N'Djamena, where he will be received by President Idriss Déby.

The head of Angolan diplomacy will then travel to Libreville in order to carry out a similar mission to the Gabonese statesman, Ali Bongo, before returning later this afternoon, 28, to Luanda.

ECCAS aims to promote the self-sustaining cooperation and development of the countries of the region, with an emphasis on economic stability and improving the living quality of the citizens of the member states.

Established in Libreville, Gabon, in December 1981, the subregional organization became operational in 1985, comprising Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sao Tome and Principe, Equatorial Guinea, Chad and Gabon.
