National Police creates detachments for festive season
In order to implement this strategy and maintain the tranquility of the inhabitants of the region during the festive season (Christmas and New Year), the Ministry of the Interior has deployed 2,715 troops through its different operating agencies.
This is an action that is carried out in the framework of the "Operation Luvuvamo" that the National Police carries out in the country in this festive season.
At least 2,715 officers will have the cooperation of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) and will be supported by 36 vehicles, 30 motorcycles and nautical means for the maritime and fluvial inspection, said the spokesman of the Provincial Command of the National Police in Cabinda, José Felé.
With regard to price controls in the different markets and commercial establishments in the region, they will be in charge of Criminal Investigation Services (SIC) brigades, while the fight against illegal immigration, smuggling of goods and acts of border violations will be the responsibility of the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME).
