ALPHARETTA, Ga., Dec. 22, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aptean, a leading global provider of mission-critical enterprise software solutions, has acquired the Jurisdiction Online Division of Praeses, LLC, which offers a cloud-based suite of software products supporting regulatory and risk management workflows for many major insurance carriers and government entities.

Jurisdiction Online supports regulatory code enforcement workflows, risk management workflows and jurisdictional accounting needs associated with regulatory activities. Its products are used by agencies in 31 states, more than 90 local jurisdictions and multiple Fortune 500 and private sector companies, including major insurers involved in the boiler and pressure vessel (BPV) market.

Jurisdiction Online’s core BPV product supports the entire workflow – from initial permitting to recurring inspections and certification – for regulatory departments and insurance companies. The software suite also offers licensing, permitting, certification, inspection, scheduling, accounting and reporting functions for locations and regulated equipment, including explosives and mining, asbestos abatement, amusement park rides, cranes, wind turbines and elevators.

More than 40 employees of the Jurisdiction Online Division, headquartered in Shreveport, Louisiana, will join Aptean in the company’s 15th acquisition since 2015. Financial terms of the sale will not be disclosed.
