Official calls on army to continue to build peace
Cuito, ANGOLA, December 18 - The deputy governor of central Bié province for social, political and economic affairs, Carlos Ulombe da Silva, Sunday in Cuito city called on the army personnel assigned to the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) to continue building peace, in order to ensure prosperity for all.,
The official said so at the ceremony that marked the commemorations of the 26th anniversary of the creation of that branch of the Angolan Armed Forces FAA that is being marked today throughout the country, reaffirming that the Armed Forces have been able to preserve national sovereignty.
Carlos Ulombe da Silva recalled that the date, December 17, is celebrated at a special time, when the country is undergoing political, social, economic and cultural transformations on the wise leadership of FAA commander-in-chief João Lourenço.
He stressed that the new FAA commander in chief is working hard to consolidate the hard-won peace with the loss of blood and sweat of the best children of this country, as well as to strengthen democracy and fundamentally assume a new direction for economic development of populations.
The commander of the 4th FAA Infantry Division in Bié, Lieutenant General António Valeriano, emphasized the length of the troops in the missions consecrated in the Constitution, mainly linked to the integrity of the national territory.
