Luanda, ANGOLA, December 11 - The president of the ruling MPLA party, José Eduardo dos Santos, on Monday asked the party members to support the Angolan government's measures aimed at improving the population's living conditions.,

The party leader was speaking at the opening of the second extraordinary session of the MPLA Central Committee, which will elect new members to the Political Bureau and discuss the restructuring of the party's auxiliary central apparatus.

 

Mr Dos Santos called on the organs, the parliamentary group and the militants to support the actions and measures of the Executive to correct what is wrong and improve what is right, in harmony with the MPLA electoral programme and the leader's strategy motion approved at the last congress.

 

The MPLA president congratulated the militants in Angola and in the diaspora for the commemorations of the 61st foundation anniversary of the  party, which was marked on Sunday, December 10.
