Zaire: Luvo border post on international traffic route map- police commander

Mbanza Kongo, ANGOLA, December 11 - The general commander of the National Police, general commissioner Alfredo Manuel Mingas, recognised that the Luvo border posts in Mbanza Kongo Municipality, northern Zaire Province, is being used for international trafficking of drugs, moneys, fuel, human beings and other crimes. ,

 

The police chief said so to the press after a two-day visit he made to the said border post located 60 km north of Mbanza Congo City, having stressed that measures will be taken in the coming days aiming at combating the mentioned crimes.

 

According to the police commander, these kinds of unlawful activities bring about negative effects to the country’s sovereignty and economy.

 

He also said the Ministry of the Interior and the National Police are making an on-site assessment of the situation, with a view to adopting correction measures, regardless of the conditions that are have available at the present.

 

The country cannot continue to undergo this kind of situations, which are harmful to its sovereignty and economy, said the top police officer.
