Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Ms Faith Muthambi will on Monday 11 December 2017 handover a house to the family of the suspected ritual murder victim Rirhandzu Manganyi (16) of Gumbani Village near Malamulele, whose mutilated body was found in the bush near the Shingwezi River in July this year.

Upon receiving the sad news of Manganyi’s gruesome death, from local journalist Mr. Bishop Baloyi, Minister Muthambi visited the bereaved family at Gumbani Village to give support and also organized social workers for the entire family to undergo counselling.

Local traditional leader, Hosi Mukhomi had already mobilised his community to contribute towards the funeral. Through the interventions of Minister Muthambi, Hosi Mukhomi, and businessman Mr Reuben Mosefuwa, of Mosefuwa Administrators Group, Manganyi received a proper burial. This is a clear indication that traditional leadership, local business, and government, working together, can move South Africa forward.

During the funeral, all three parties agreed that everything possible must be done to ensure that the family gets proper and decent accommodation. Through assistance from a local businessman, Reuben Mosefuwa and local traditional leader, Hosi Mukhomi, Minister was able to secure a newly built three-bedroom house for Manganyi’s family.

The Minister will be joined by the Mayor of Collins Chabane local Municipality (Lim 345), Cllr Joyce Bila, traditional leaders, and community members, for a hand- over scheduled as follows:
