US reaffirms strengthening cooperation with Angola

Luanda, ANGOLA, December 5 - The United States of America intends to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Angola, said the American country's ambassador to Angola. ,

 

Nina Maria Fite was recently appointed by President Donald Trump, to take over from Helen La Lime, who has been in office since 2014.

 

The US diplomat said that her government is monitoring with interest the measures of transparency implemented by President João Lourenço, said a note from the Angolan Embassy in United States.

 

Angop leant Tuesday that the measures will contribute to attracting more investment from the US private sector to Angola.

 

She said that it is everyone's desire to see the Angolan economy grow, and the US is ready to help.

 

The diplomat was received Monday in Washington by the Angolan ambassador

to United States.

 

 

During the meeting, Nina Maria Fite expressed her availability to work for her country in Angola and contribute to the improvement of good relations between the two States.

 

Nina Maria Fite has held previous positions in Angola, with stress to the head of the political / economic section at the US Embassy.

 

The diplomat was US Consul in Montreal in Canada since 2014, having previously worked on seven US diplomatic missions abroad, including Portugal.
