The United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Victims’ Rights Advocate, Ms. Jane Connors, is visiting South Sudan and will hold a press conference on Thursday 7th of December 2017 at 9am. As Victims’ Rights Advocate, Ms. Connors’ role is to support a UN system-wide strategic response to the rights and needs of victims of sexual exploitation and abuse. During her visit, she is meeting with UNMISS personnel, UN Agencies, Funds and Programmes, international and national NGOs, government institutions and civil society.
