14th Annual Year-End Review of Medical Privacy and Data Security Enforcement

Melamedia Webinar Assesses Whether There is a New Normal in HIPAA Enforcement under the Trump Administration

ALEXANDRIA, VA, USA, November 29, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The HHS Office for Civil Rights (OCR) continued to issue resolution agreements with Covered Entities and Business Associates in 2017. But there are questions over whether those efforts were simply the result of finishing up work started in the Obama Administration.

Does the first year of the Trump Administration represent the "new normal" in HIPAA and HITECH enforcement?

To answer those questions, Melamedia, LLC, publishers of Health Information Privacy/Security Alert, is sponsoring its 14th Annual Year-End Review of Medical Privacy and Data Security Enforcement.

PARTICIPANTS WILL BE BRIEFED ON:

- Trends in HITECH breach reporting and HIPAA patient complaints;
- New interpretations on enforcing medical privacy in medical malpractice suits;
- New law on releasing medical data under Freedom of Information laws;
- How other regulators, such as the FDA, the FTC and the states are affecting HIPAA compliance programs;

and much more.
