Luanda, ANGOLA, November 10 - The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, on Friday sacked Jorge Gaudens Pontes Sebastião from the post of executive secretary of the Executive Secretariat of the Goods Control and Quality System National Council.,

According to a note from the Head of State’s Civil Office, the dismissal of the mentioned official happens in the ambit of the need to make changes to the activity of laboratorial analysis of products for human consumption, which includes also the national network for quality control.   

The Goods Control and Quality System National Council is tasked with certifying the quality and conducting laboratorial analysis of imported products before they reach the market, among other duties.
