Reporting to the General Manager, the Training Manager is responsible for the overall effective management of the Divisional training program and provides leadership and direction for the comprehensive, sustainable training effort at Lanigan Division.
The Training Manager must possess at least 5 – 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably mining or chemicals and a minimum of 3 – 5 years of teaching/training experience.
The Training Manager will have the ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels within the organization (management, departments, work crews). The incumbent provides a daily presence and interaction with all levels of personnel at Lanigan Division, while interjecting leadership and advice on matters relating to all facets of training and development. The incumbent will demonstrate competence and flexibility in motivating others to achieve common training objectives and have the ability to resolve conflict at the lowest level possible. In addition, the Training Manager maintains effective relationships with Divisional and Corporate training and development personnel. Relationships will need to be maintained with vendors, outside consultants, and external training organizations.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
