Luanda, ANGOLA, October 21 - The Angolan Attorney General’s Office (PGR) has opened an investigation into a complaint about criminal acts under international law against the national citizen Carlos Panzo.,

According to a note from the Attorney General's Office that reached Angop on Friday in Luanda, the complaint came from the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Swiss Confederation and was extracted from a process filed on March 5, 2017, against the said Angolan citizen.

 

However, the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, on Friday sacked Carlos Aires da Fonseca Panzo, from the position of Secretary of State for Economic Affairs.

 

In his replacement, João Lourenço appointed Ricardo Daniel Sandão Queirós Viegas de Abreu, said a note from the President’s Civil Office, which Angop had access to on Friday.
