France ambassador visits Zaire province

According to a press release from the French Embassy, the visit aims to learn more about the potential of the region, especially the historic center of Mbanza-Kongo, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
During his stay, the ambassador will have a courtesy meeting with the provincial governor, José Joanes André, and visit the socio-economic infrastructures and historical places of the region, such as the Port of Soyo, Zona Industrial do Soyo , the Combined Cycle Center, the Kongo Kings Museum, the Kulumbimbi Church and the Kongo Kings Cemetery.
The diplomat is accompanied by the head of the Cultural Cooperation and Action Service of the French embassy and the director of the Alliance Française de Luanda, respectively Sebastien Vittet and Paul Baruscut.
