BRANSON, MO – October 1, 2017 – "Hallmark Presents Maxine's Christmas Carol returns to Andy Williams Performing Arts Center this Christmas. Last year, Maxine was such a big success that we had to bring her back. We have started a new family tradition, and we're so proud of that," says Jimmy Osmond, the youngest member of the renowned Osmond Family and owner of the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center and Theatre.

Hallmark Presents Maxine's Christmas Carol runs from November 1 - December 16 - 10 AM. During the 2017 Christmas season, Maxine, Hallmark Cards' self-appointed "Queen of Crabbiness," will star in "Maxine's Christmas Carol," a twist on the Charles Dickens' classic holiday story, "A Christmas Carol." The bright lights of Branson are set to shine on a brand new star of the stage, although there's a good chance she might find a reason to complain about them. The live-action musical is getting the full Maxine treatment and will feature ghosts, songs, plenty of attitude, and even a role for Maxine's dog Floyd.

"Maxine's 'tell it like it is' personality is the perfect fit for this singing, dancing, crabby version of the Dickens classic," said Andy Olson, Hallmark Executive Producer of Maxine Productions. "We think Maxine brings the crabbiest, and funniest, Christmas that Branson has ever seen."

For nearly 30 years, Maxine has been one of Hallmark's most popular characters. Since her first appearance on a greeting card, she has gone on to have her say on everything from books and calendars to Christmas ornaments, and her lovably cantankerous personality continues to hit a chord with fans of all ages.

"We're delighted to welcome back Hallmark and Maxine to Branson and expect she'll have plenty to say about the most wonderful time of the year," said Jeff Seifried, President/CEO, Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau. "Her special brand of humor is sure to make this a Christmas season we won't soon forget and will enjoy for many years to come."

The show run from Saturday through Monday, with no Sunday performances. "We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones this holiday season," says Jimmy Osmond. "As always, it is truly an honor to continue Andy Williams' legacy and bring you the best live holiday entertainment in Branson in 2017. We hope to see you there."
