He also started a college scholarship in the name of his late brother, Joe Bachmann, which will be available to children participating in the program.

Bachmann grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and then went on to wrestle at Council Rock High School in Newtown, PA. He claimed that wrestling had a significant impact on his childhood development:

He credits much of his success in the digital marketing space to the mindset he learned while playing the sport, telling children, “We hope you stick with wrestling. It’s not a matter of what your record is; it’s the life lessons that you take from wrestling and apply to whatever you’re passionate about.”

Located at 3700 Market Street, the BTS Mentoring Center keeps young boys and girls off the streets and on a positive path in life with help from dedicated coaches, mentors and supportive programs. The goal is to give children the confidence they need to grow and learn in a safe environment so that they may eventually pursue a college degree.

After-school and mentoring programs are tailored to underserved, at-risk youth from communities struggling with poverty, crime, family dissolution and a lack of the resources necessary to support a child’s success in the classroom.

Most of the children attend Mastery Charter or Beaumont Academy, however they offer 28 wrestling programs throughout Philadelphia with mentoring centrally located in University City. The computers will help to completely upgrade the lounge at BTS Philly, where 75 plus students will be able to use the new technology for peer mentoring.
