National Opioid Addiction Treatment Leader Partners with Indiana University Health Plans to Expand Access to Members

CleanSlate Centers' high-quality, evidence-based treatment program now available to Indiana University Health Plan members

/EINPresswire.com/ -- BRENTWOOD, TN--(Marketwired - July 28, 2017) - To address the growing national opioid addiction crisis, addiction treatment leader CleanSlate Centers and health services provider Indiana University Health Plans (IUHP) have partnered together to expand access to effective, physician-led addiction treatment options for IUHP members, officials announced today.

CleanSlate currently operates four centers across Indiana in Anderson, Elkhart, Ft. Wayne and Merrillville, with plans to open a fifth center in Indianapolis this fall. IUHP, an extension of Indiana University Health, provides its members access to more than "80 percent of the top doctors across the state" and "personalized, convenient care" that fits members' lifestyles, making the two organizations natural partners.

"Both IUHP and CleanSlate are committed to ensuring individuals have all the tools they need to lead healthy, productive lives," said Greg Marotta, President and CEO of CleanSlate Centers. "The fight against the opioid epidemic requires a coordinated and collective front. We are proud to partner with IUHP to expand access to treatment and to offer help and hope to more Indiana residents suffering from addiction."

Founded in 2009 in response to the growing opioid epidemic facing the country, CleanSlate has treated more than 20,000 patients in some of the states hit hardest by the opioid epidemic. The company has aggressively grown its national footprint this year, now providing safe and effective medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to more than 6,200 active patients at 29 centers across eight states.

"We are excited to formally partner with IUHP and further expand access to effective treatment in Indiana," says Ned Pucek, President of West Division Operations for CleanSlate. "The epidemic has created a great need for the type of treatment we provide in Indiana, which ranks in the top third among states in terms of opioid death rates in the country. We urgently look forward to serving any IUHP members in need of our support and services."

CleanSlate has already formed partnerships with a number of other major insurance providers in the state, including IHCP-Traditional Medicaid, Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana, Anthem, Optum/United Health Group and Veteran's Health Indiana, and has committed to working with members of all insurance plans to ensure anyone seeking care may receive it.
