The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries will launch the Ethiopian Livestock Identification and Traceability System. The system will help to gather information regarding the source/origin of the animal, type of husbandry, and management system in place to support improved quality for consumers and increased incomes of farmers.
