Rachel Cubas Wilkinson, former manager at Pearson Higher Education Consulting Services, launches new consulting firm.
Rachel has helped dozens of clients including private, public, 2-year, and 4-year colleges and universities, as well as professional programs. She has expertise in strategic planning, change management, online / blended learning programs, digital strategy, technology implementations and rollouts, institutional outcomes assessment, digital outcomes management, academic analytics, faculty training and mentoring, curricula and course development, and student success and retention. Rachel has helped colleges and universities within the United States and abroad develop focused and executable strategies to launch new academic programs and to enhance their education programs through initiatives in teaching, learning, assessment, analytics, technology, and student success.

Rachel is passionate about teaching, learning, and people development. In 2001, she taught, and later coordinated, the English for Speakers of Other Languages (E.S.O.L) Adult Education program for the School District of Palm Beach County. In 2006, she began teaching online at the College/University level as an Instructor of Leadership and Management. She went on to lead the Online program for the MacArthur School of Leadership of Palm Beach Atlantic University, setting in place a vision and strategy for online learning including new student services and academic support specifically designed for the online student. In 2009, Rachel became an International Strategic Consultant for Pearson and received successive promotions to lead the Academic Assessment and Analytics Team, and, later, Teaching and Learning Strategy for Pearson North America Higher Education Consulting Services. She has led numerous small-setting and campus-wide faculty initiatives and professional development webinars and workshops on specialized topics. Rachel has been invited to speak at education and ed-tech conferences within the United States and abroad on her work with colleges and universities to improve student learning outcomes and to power pedagogy with technology. She is considered an expert in institutional outcomes assessment as a methodology for evidencing institutional accountability in higher education.
A certified practitioner by the Center for the Application of Psychological Type (CAPT), Rachel organizes and leads initiatives for leadership development, talent development, and team building. Using tools such as Leadership Style inventories, the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® instrument, Strength Finders, and others, Rachel helps businesses and organizations set talent and succession planning goals, create professional development initiatives, and develop workforce talent through self-awareness and team building situations. Rachel also served on the board of the Peter F. Drucker Global Leadership Society and helped to launch a chapter of the organization within Palm Beach County as a forum for entrepreneurial and ethical leadership training and empowerment.
In 2006, Rachel received the distinguished Praxis Award for Leadership from the MacArthur School of Leadership and graduated Summa Cum Laude and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Alpha Gamma Sigma Chapter. She earned her Bachelors degree in Organizational Management, with dual concentration in Human Resources Development and Organizational Behavior. Rachel holds a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership and a graduate specialization in Adult Learning Methods, Curriculum, and Instruction, with a focus on Teaching and Learning Strategies (Pedagogy and Andragogy). She is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Transformational Leadership and Change from the University of New England.
