Public consultation: epidemiological studies and pesticides
EFSA has opened a public consultation on its scientific opinion looking at the use of epidemiological studies in risk assessment of pesticides.
The opinion examines the methodological limitations that affect the quality of such studies and makes recommendations on how to improve their quality and reliability and thus facilitate an appropriate use of epidemiological data in the risk assessment of pesticides.
In addition, it proposes a methodology for integrating epidemiological evidence with data from experimental toxicology in pesticide risk assessment.
The deadline for comments is 28 July 2017.
