Andy Miller’s personal giving 7 for 7 campaign encourages others to lend their support to the region’s many charitable organizations

ALAMO, CA, USA, May 24, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Former Polycom, Inc. CEO Andy M. Miller is continuing his campaign to build support for under-recognized charitable organizations today with a donation to the Moment by Moment Foundation. Moment by Moment uses professional photographer volunteers to create portraits of families of children with cancer or other life-limiting illnesses.

Miller is contributing an initial amount of $25,000 to seven local nonprofit groups over seven days. He began this “Seven for Seven” initiative by donating to the Javistrong54 Foundation, which is raising money for Jake Javier, a former high school football player with spinal cord injuries. Subsequently Miller contributed to the Greater Bay Area Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Moment by Moment brings together photographers and families with terminally ill children to record what are often some of their last happy moments together. After the free photo sessions, families receive a flash drive containing the resulting full-resolution images, as well as a gift card to make prints.

“Moment by Moment provides a priceless service to families in their time of need, by creating lasting memories of their time together,” says Miller. “This organization is a perfect example of the many charitable groups that don’t get enough recognition for their important contributions to our communities.”

The foundation was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2006 and has worked with more than 200 photographers thus far to create portraits of more than 1,000 families in the San Francisco and Sacramento areas.

Andy Miller has more than two decades of executive experience in industry leading companies including Polycom, IPC, Tandberg and Cisco.
