Backers needed to achieve bitters’ sweet success. Discover Black Ink Bitters

Add a dash of heady herb essence to food or drink with Michigan's Black Ink Bitters

EAST LANSING, MI, UNITED STATES, March 23, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The creator of a new line of natural cocktail and food flavorings is inviting Kickstarter backers to pledge their support for this exciting and unique product.

Black Ink Bitters is a hand-crafted blend of herbal extracts that can be used to enrich the taste of gourmet foods, cocktails, and other mixed drinks.

Sourced from only the freshest natural ingredients in Michigan – a state with a rich history in herbal extracts – herbs and spices are combined to produce a concentrated liquid blend that will be sold in neat little black ink dropper bottles, containing 1fl oz of the bitters.

Black Ink Bitters is the brainchild of Michael Fair, who is due to graduate from Michigan State University this spring and is currently working as a bartender and mixologist. Inspired by the mentors he has worked alongside, including bartenders, mixologists, chefs, and restaurant owners, Michael has created a range of 10 unique flavors of bitters: smoked apple chicory, blueberry vanilla, strawberry vanilla, vanilla coffee, cranberry hibiscus, mint hibiscus, lime, lemon, orange, and fall potion.

One way to think of the concentrated flavor of the bitters is as a liquid spice, but one that will not overpower other flavors, says Michael: “The bitters are a great way to add a new depth of flavor to both cocktails and food. Our bitters are designed to enrich and enhance the taste of mixed drinks and foods without detracting from the quality of the base liquor of a good bourbon, for instance. They help to balance out the sweetness and other components. You can use a dash, a couple of drops or a whole dropper full at a time – there are no rules, and you are the master of your own palate!”

The herbs and spices have been gathered from pristine environments across the state of Michigan, and no artificial dyes or flavors are used to produce Black Ink Bitters. All orders will be sold and shipped in special hand crafted boxes that are designed to add a touch of elegance to the bar, kitchen or wherever they are displayed. This goal for this Kickstarter project is $20,000. Backers have a choice of funding options with a range of exclusive benefits.
