Dime Community Bank Opens New Full-Service Branch in Williamsburg

BROOKLYN, N.Y., Feb. 24, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dime Community Bank (the “bank” or “Dime”), subsidiary of Dime Community Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”) (NASDAQ:DCOM), announced today that it has opened a new branch in its hometown of Williamsburg at 214 Bedford Avenue (near the corner of North 5th Street). The branch, which is based on a new design format, will offer a full-service banking experience to residents and small business owners in a small footprint.

Dime’s Bedford Avenue branch, at only 433 square feet, doesn’t have a traditional teller line, but instead utilizes customer “pods” and advanced digital ATMs, offering both highly personalized service with a universal banker, or self-service through one of the advanced ATMs to help serve customers when, where, and how they want to be served.
