European Parliament Debates EU-Canada Partnership

EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström today addressed members of the European Parliament ahead of a vote on the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA).
The Commissioner outlined the benefits of CETA, a "progressive agreement", which alongside the SPA offers an opportunity to "upgrade" the EU-Canada relationship. Read the Commissioner's remarks to the European Parliament.
