Minister Creed welcomes 2017 Action Plan for Jobs
Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Micheal Creed T.D welcomed today’s launch of the 2017 Action Plan for Jobs.
“My Department and its agencies will provide supports to the agri-food sector in facing the unique challenges posed by Brexit”, Minister Creed said, “I will also maintain a strong focus this year on inward and outward trade visits, both to grow existing markets and to secure new international markets for our produce”.
The specific agri-food and marine actions in the 2017 Action Plan for Jobs align with the Food Wise 2025 strategy for the sustainable growth of the sector over the next decade.
Minister Creed concluded that ‘I am confident that the commitments outlined in the 2017 Action Plan for Jobs will be achieved and that the agri-food and marine sectors will provide valuable employment opportunities in rural and coastal areas”.
