Avid MotocrossRacer Featured in New Who Makes a Honda Video

TORRANCE, Calif. – Lyle Sweeter, Training Systems and Industry Outreach, Automobile Sales Division at American Honda Motor Co. Inc., has a passion for anything with wheels and has been an avid motocross racer for more than five decades.

Sweeter, the newest subject of the What Makes a Honda Video series, is also part of the team assisting Honda dealers in implementing a new sales training program called Fast Track.

The Fast Track program allows dealers to partner with universities to provide a pipeline of quality sales consultant candidates to Honda dealerships, and deliver mentoring and support to them during their first days on the job.

"The goal is to support our dealers," explains Sweeter. "For our dealers to be successful, they need to retain employees who understand Honda and can really meet customers' needs."

Sweeter has been with Honda for 30 years and says the competitive drive that has kept him racing well into his 60's also keeps him looking for new challenges at Honda.

The What Makes a Honda is Who Makes a Honda video series focuses on Honda associates who live out Honda's commitment to The Power of Dreams, a global theme that encourages Honda associates to conceive ideas that will create new value for customers and society and then show the determination required to bring those dreams to life. In addition, the video series spotlights the inspiring efforts of Honda associates in their work and in the community.

Sweeter's What Makes a Honda is Who Makes a Honda video is accessible on Honda's YouTube channel.
