EU Promoting Workers’ Rights in Myanmar - Second Stakeholders Meeting in Yangon

Putting in practice its commitments under the 2015 'Trade for All' strategy to make the EU trade policy more responsible and sustainable and the EU commitment to promote decent work, the EU, together with the government of Myanmar, the US, Denmark, Japan and the International Labour Organisation, actively participates in the joint Initiative to Promote Fundamental Labour Rights and Practices in Myanmar. Its second Stakeholders Forum took place today in Yangon, Myanmar, and discussed with social partners and other actors progress and the way forward towards achieving the objectives of the initiative.
