— Greg Puschnigg
PITTSBURGH, PA, UNITED STATES, September 28, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- BOSS Controls LLC, a leading Internet of Things (IoT) energy management and controls company, has deployed its Energy Efficiency Solution with Chatham University, Pittsburgh PA.

BOSS Controls helps commercial property owners (i.e. state and local government sector, education – K-12 and higher education, and the small to medium size commercial property spaces) increase energy efficiency and reduce costs by giving them technology solutions to remotely and automatically turn off machines when not in use.

Chatham University deployed BOSS’s energy-savings smart plugs on various devices, including vending snack machines, water coolers, and window air conditioning units. The University expects energy savings of up to 50% with intelligent, schedule-based plug load shutdown during unoccupied periods. Chatham University has a long-standing commitment to carbon neutrality and resilience through The Climate Commitment, a Second Nature project.

“Our goal is to get to net zero energy consumption,” said Mary Whitney, Director, University Sustainability, Chatham University. “The BOSS deployment emphasizes our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and helps get us there faster while enjoying an attractive ROI.”

“Chatham is the model for sustainability and energy reduction for campuses and BOSS is very excited about our growing contribution to climate change,” said Greg Puschnigg, CEO/Founder BOSS Controls.
