The European Union’s Trade Commissioner, Cecilia Malmström, travelled to Slovakia today to host a conference entitled EU Trade Agreements in Practice: Making Trade Work for You.
The event gave stakeholders from business, trade unions and wider civil society, alongside members of the European Parliament, the opportunity to exchange ideas on EU trade and investment policy and what it means for growth and jobs.
During her visit, Commissioner Malmström is also meeting with the Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Peter Žiga and will speak to members of the Slovakian Parliament. An informal meeting of EU Trade Ministers takes place on Friday.
