Commissioner Malmström addresses Austrian Parliament Hearing on CETA

EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström today visited Austria’s National Council - the lower house of Parliament - for a hearing on EU trade policy including the EU’s agreement with Canada, or CETA.
The event allowed her to interact with Austrian parliamentarians from all political perspectives on this crucial deal for Europe and other issues. She opened her intervention with remarks on the importance of international trade for the Austrian economy and the benefits that a progressive agreement like CETA could bring to the country and to Europe as a whole.
