Jessica Federer and Dr. Nick van Terheyden Elected to the MedicAlert Board of Directors


/EINPresswire.com/ -- SALIDA, CA--(Marketwired - August 16, 2016) - The Board of Directors at MedicAlert Foundation is pleased to welcome two new members to its Board -- Jessica Federer, head of digital development at Bayer, along with Nick van Terheyden, chief medical officer at Dell Services, effective July 22, 2016. Each is elected to serve a three-year term.

In her current role, Federer serves as head of digital development at Bayer, a global enterprise advancing "Science for A Better Life" in the areas of human, animal and plant health. Recognized as one of the "100 Top CDOs," Federer is passionate about translating digital developments into meaningful public health advancements through the Bayer business, foundations and the broader community.

Previously, Federer held positions within Bayer in the areas of Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Communications and Public Affairs. She also worked for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality in the US Department of Health and Human Services. Federer received a Master of Public Health Degree from Yale School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science Degree from The George Washington University. Originally from Saint Louis, Missouri, She currently resides in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Dr. Nick van Terheyden serves as chief medical officer for the healthcare and life sciences division of Dell Services. In this role, he is responsible for providing strategic insight to health care organizations and medical professionals, supporting their efforts to improve outcomes through information-enabled health care. He helps Dell's Services' global health care customers develop a strategy and apply technology to achieve an IT environment that is interconnected, efficient and patient-focused.

Dr. van Terheyden is a graduate of the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, University of London. He is a member of the HIMSS mHealth Committee and lectures on topics ranging from digital health, electronic medical records and health care informatics and emerging technology. He currently resides in Laytonsville, Maryland.
